Feeding Cattle
Experience the best of the west right here in the east! Our guests can enjoy first hand how a dude ranch in New York operates by taking part in the day to day farming activities including feeding the cattle, plowing, planting and harvesting crops.
Tending to the Calves
All tasks are performed under the watchful eyes of our staff and your safety is one of our most utmost concerns. Activities include driving tractors, checking and repairing fences, watering livestock, hauling hay bales, and assorted other chores.
Driving Tractors
The various farm activities on our ranch depend on the season, however regardless of the time of year, there are always things that need doing. One thing is for sure and that is your kids will leave with a sense of accomplishment and self confidence.
Moving the Herd
Here at Equity Angus, customer satisfaction is important to us. We are a family owned and operated business and have strong family values. We work hard, we play hard, and we're proud of our accomplishments.
Harvesting Crops
You will learn where your food comes from and what goes into producing it. Crop work is one of our largest farming activities. We also sell our premium home grown Black Angus beef - it's simply delicious.
In addition to the regular activities associated with raising beef cattle, you can also practice your shooting skills on our private supervised shooting range. During the Winter, there are acres and acres of showshoeing and cross country skiing trails to enjoy. During the Summer, you are welcome to pitch your tent for overnight camping and regardless of the season, there are many nearby accommodations for lodging, dining, shopping, and visiting some of the local attractions.
